Resources to Help You Invest in Your Healthcare Career
Academy of Healthcare Excellence (AHE) understands that beginning or advancing your education is an important investment in your future. Students and prospective students may be eligible for workforce development, vocational rehabilitation, career training, or other educational assistance through local and state agencies. AHE encourages students to explore the resources below for possible assistance with career planning, job training, educational expenses, employment preparation, and supportive services. Eligibility and available assistance are determined by each agency.
New Jersey One-Stop Career Services
New Jersey One-Stop Career Centers provide employment and career-development services to job seekers throughout the state. Services may include career counseling, job-search assistance, résumé and interview preparation, access to employment resources, and education or occupational training assistance. Eligible individuals may also qualify for workforce-funded training opportunities. Students should contact their local center to determine eligibility and available services.

PathStone Workforce Development
PathStone is a nonprofit community development and human services organization that provides workforce development and employment-related services. Depending on the program and individual eligibility, services may include career development, employment preparation, occupational skills training, job-placement assistance, youth programs, and supportive services. Students should contact PathStone directly to determine which programs are available in their area and whether they meet current eligibility requirements.

New Jersey Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS)
The New Jersey Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) assists eligible individuals with disabilities whose disability creates a substantial barrier to employment. DVRS helps eligible individuals prepare for, obtain, maintain, or advance in employment. Services may include vocational counseling, job-placement assistance, supported employment, workplace accommodations, assistive technology, skills training, and postsecondary education or training when authorized under an approved employment plan.
